Over the past two seasons, Blom has certified himself as a defensive midfielder. However, he has found himself in the right back position over the last few matches for Kaizer Chiefs.

When he made his debut back in 2019, he started off on the full back positions. He doesn’t mind which position he fulfils as he just wants to help his team.

“I am trying to give my best in each and every position that they play me, that’s the mentality that I have at the moment. Wherever they put me, I will do my best and work hard,” Blom spoke to the Kaizer Chiefs website.

He was selected to be part of Bafana Bafana’s team to face Zimbabwe and Ghana at the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

“It means a lot, because now I am representing the entire country. Whenever I get the opportunity, I have to give my best.

“Everyone will be watching. I have to keep my head on the ground and focus.

“It means a lot to represent my country, not every player gets this opportunity,”

Blom is not the flashiest midfield player in the DSTV Premiership. However, his dedication and hard work has seen him usurp his peers.
