Percy Tau To Face Neymar-Inspired PSG
Club Brugge and South Africa tear away forward Percy Tau is in line to face another giant of world football when his Belgium club clash with free spending French side Paris Saint Germain (PSG) in a Uefa Champions League (UCL) clash at home on Tuesday next week.
Tau a hero of Brugge’s opening group match against mighty Real Madrid‚ had been nursing an ankle injury sustained in a domestic league tie playing against Gent.
The injury eventually saw Tau being rested in last Sunday’s Nelson Mandela Challenge against Mali despite the medical team having cleared him to play.
Tau is however expected to be in full flow for South Africa’s bid to qualify for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations with fixture against Ghana and Sudan in November.
Brugge took to Twitter to announce the exciting and good news every football loving South African now follows with keen interest. Brugge’s social media account have become popular with many fans of Tau and South African football who come in to comment on any news concerning the slippery forward.
Club Brugge are working flat out to ensure the emerging European football kingpin is 100% fit for the clash to face some of the biggest names in world football such as Kylian Mbappe, Neymar, Edson Cavani among many others who have been lured by the cash rich Parisian club.
Brazilian Neymar is also expected to make his 2019/20 UCL debut after missing two matches due to a 2-game suspension for comments made after last season’s loss to Manchester United.
The fiery but talented forward lambasted the Video Assistant Referee as a “disgrace” for awarding a last minute penalty to the Manchester side that saw PSG exit the competition in agony despite their high expectation that have perennially fail to match their spending power.
“The Brazil international will be available for Matchday 3 of the Uefa Champions League group stage, against Club Brugge, on Tuesday 22 October at 21:00 at the Jan Breydelstadion.” read a statement on the French club’s official website.
