Petrus Ngebo Is Looking For A Team To Sign Him
Petrus Ngebo who is known as Mahlatse has confessed that he blames no one for the big collapse in his career but himself. The player has been clubless since the beginning of January after he was dumped by the First Division outfit Royal Eagles. He once played for Bafana Bafana and scored amazing goals for the team.
In 2009 he was playing for Bloemfontein Celtic and he scored 20 goals for the club and this won him a big move to SuperSport United. But sadly enough his big injury set him back on a path of decline and since then he has been looking for a new club to join.
“I take full responsibility for my career, even if it hasn’t gone my way” he told us. “Looking back, I am not blaming anyone because I was the one who made the decision to leave Celtic and then when I got to SuperSport I got injured. How can I blame someone for my injuries? There is no way that I will ever be better with anyone just because my career hasn’t turned out the way I wanted it to. ” he added.
Despite his problems, the 31-year-old is not giving up and he is ready to move on and find a team, he says that the Veteran forward Siyabonga Nomvete inspires him to keep trying.
“I haven’t given up hope about still being able to play and possibly still reaching places that are much higher than those that I have managed to date. I know that I can score goals as that comes naturally to me.”
“Most people are quick to rule you out once you are 30, but I am a striker and all I need is to be trusted again. I know that in this country we are obsessed with pushing people down. But just look at Bhele and look at how Lerato Chabangu was brought back by Gordon Isesund at Swallows”he added.
In the meanwhile Ngebo is looking for a team, he is doing something positive for his home community of Koppies in the Free State.
