Steven Pienaar spent much of his career with Everton in the Premier League, where he was coached by David Moyes. He recently paid a visit to his former coach.

Schillo is currently working on becoming a top coach himself. He acquired his UEFA A License in 2019, after he had retired from football two years earlier.

Under David Moyes at Everton, he played the best football of his career. His exploits earned him a big move to Tottenham Hotspurs, where he even featured in the UEFA Champions League once again.

It didn’t really work out for him at Spurs, and he returned to Everton, where he proved why they adore him so much. He followed David Moyes to Sunderland when the Scotsman was appointed there.

Pienaar is currently a novice in his coaching journey. He has overseen the junior side at Ajax Amsterdam.

When visiting his former coach and friend, he has been learning more about the trade from Moyes. He has got priceless education from a top and experienced coach.

“Always good to get advice from the Gaffer, he gave me the opportunity to play in the best league and giving me advice in my next step into coaching.

“Thanks for allowing me to follow the team in training and for the hospitality from You and your coaching stuff. Good luck for the rest of the season. Boss” he said on his Instagram.

The former Bidvest Wits attacker will be hoping to emulate his professional career in his coaching endeavours. He and fellow South African legend Benni McCarthy, who is the striker coach at Manchester United, are working to emulate their playing careers in their coaching endeavours.

They are both surely on the right track! PICS: Steven Pienaar Hangs Out with Former Coach David Moyes!
