Pirates Captain Nkosinathi Sibisi Refuses to Predict Sundowns’ Title Fate

Speaking at a media briefing alongside coach Abdeslam Ouaddou at Rand Stadium on Wednesday, Sibisi emphasized that the new season offers a clean slate for Pirates. “It’s a fresh start. It’s a fresh year. We’re going for everything. We don’t have to hide it. Let’s see if the movie is the same,” he said. His comments highlight Pirates’ determination to compete strongly across all competitions while maintaining a confident mindset. Sibisi also underlined the club’s ambition from the very beginning of the season. “It’s such a big institution, you know, we don’t have to hide it, to say that we are going for everything,” he said confidently. Despite falling short in the CAF Champions League, Pirates still have opportunities to claim silverware in both the Betway Premiership and the Nedbank Cup. Sibisi reminded journalists that the team had openly set the goal of competing for every trophy from the start of the season.

Looking ahead, Sibisi insisted that the focus remains on giving their all in every game. “There’s still two more to play for, not only the Championship, there’s still the Nedbank Cup as well. For us it’s just to give our all and see where it goes,” he added.
