Pirates hope to keep positive momentum
Orlando Pirates head coach Eric Tinkler on Wednesday breathed a huge sigh of relief after guiding his side to a 2-0 win over Tuks on Wednesday evening.
The Bucaneers victory over the University of Pretoria was only their fourth win of the season but came as a most welcome result amid unrest in the sea robbers dressing room.
Victory steered Pirates to 10th on the ABSA premiership standings but a lot of work remains, as Tinkler looks to work the Soweto giants up the psl standings.
Their next encounter against Maritzburg United will be highly essential as victory could steer them into the top 8 depending on how other teams play.
Maritzburg will however be no push overs given the result against Orlando Pirates will be critical in their fight for survival. Currently placed at the basement of the ABSA premiership standings Maritzburg are desperate for points as relegation continuously becomes a possibility as weeks go by.
