Pitso Mosimane Receives Hero’s Farewell As He Bids Adieu! The former Sundowns mentor has officially arrived in Egypt for his new role at Al Ahly. Upon his departure from South Africa, Mosimane received a hero’s goodbye at O.R International Airport yesterday evening.
Pitso Mosimane has officially been unveiled as the new Al Ahly head coach. Mosimane released a video, dedicated to the Al Ahly ultras. He has pleaded with the notorious fans to offer him time and patience. Jingles guarantees that he will take Al Ahly to the next level.
Before his arrival in Cairo, Mosimane had one more sentimental moment to the with the Mamelodi Sundowns faithful; the Yellow Nation. Pitso Mosimane arrived to a crowd of Mamelodi Sundowns fans, all wishing Mosimane the best in Egypt.
A very emotional Mosimane welcomed the cheers he received at the airport. Mosimane was kind enough to take pictures will almost all of the Sundowns faithful that was present at the airport. A teary Pitso Mosimane hugged and took pictures with everyone he came across.
One thing that’s certain is that the Yellow Nation welcomes Mosimane’s move to AL Ahly. There is no animosity from them at all.
Upon Pitso’s arrival, Egypt’s ambassador to South Africa, Ahmed El Fadly congratulated Pitso Mosimane on being the first South African to manage the “prestigious club”.
El Fadly affirms that appointing Mosimani reflects the depth of relations between Egypt and the other African countries, specifically South Africa, and will boost the Egyptian-South African relations on the grassroots level thanks to the huge fan base of both Al Ahly and Mamelodi Sundowns.
