PSL Announces First Monthly Betway Premiership Awards of the Season

The Premier Soccer League has revealed the winners of the first monthly Betway Premiership awards for the 2025/26 season. TS Galaxy’s Puso Dithejane was named Player of the Month, Sekhukhune United head coach Eric Tinkler earned Coach of the Month, and Orlando Pirates’ Kamogelo Sebelele claimed Goal of the Month.
Sekhukhune United continue to lead the Betway Premiership, with four wins and a draw from five matches. Their strong start made Tinkler a clear choice for the Coach of the Month award. Under his guidance, Sekhukhune have displayed consistency and resilience, positioning themselves as early title contenders.
Dithejane has been the standout surprise of the season. The 21-year-old midfielder contributed three goals and two assists in TS Galaxy’s last three games. His performances earned him the Player of the Month award and a spot in Bafana Bafana’s preliminary squad for the 202 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Nigeria. Although he did not make the final squad, his selection indicates growing recognition at the national level.
Pirates’ Kamogelo Sebelele also enjoyed a strong start to his club career. The wingback, who previously played alongside Dithejane, impressed during the MTN8 competition and scored a long-range goal against Stellenbosch in the league, securing the Goal of the Month award.
League action will resume after the international break with matchday six fixtures, providing teams another opportunity to assert themselves in the Betway Premiership standings.
The PSL awards reflect both individual brilliance and team consistency, highlighting emerging talent and strategic leadership in South African football.
