Real Madrid silence Barcelona

Real Madrid earned the El Classico bragging rights after overcoming Barcelona 2-1 in a heated derby at the Nou Camp on Saturday evening.

Barcelona had taken the lead courtesy of Gerard Pique in the 56th minute. Karim Benzema equalised in the 62nd minute before Sergio Ramos was red carded in the 84th minute.

Christiano Ronaldo sent Madrid into a frenzy after scoring an 85th minute winner that saw Real Madrid move to within seven points of Barcelona on the La liga standings.
