Reports Suggest AmaZulu Players Unhappy with Romain Folz Appointment! Usuthu have already begun training with their new man.

AmaZulu announced Romain Folz as head coach this weekend. However, rumours are already suggesting that the playing staff is unimpressed with the appointment.

Folz’s only ever job in South Africa was at Marumo Gallants. At Bahlabane Ba Ntwa, he only managed 6 matches before leaving in unsavoury fashion.

Before this, the Frenchman had small stints in an out of Africa, blazing no trail in this time. His appointment at Usuthu came as a shock, as he is only a novice at this stage of his career.

Many doubt that he will match the heights set by Benni McCarthy two seasons ago, taking the club to the CAF Champions League for the first time in his career.

“There are a number of players who are under the same agent as Truter in the team. That is usually a recipe for disaster because we know how players can be.” A source revealed to Phakaaathi.

“They could easily orchestrate his downfall by not following his instructions and undermining him.

“And his age does not make things any easier for him. He will be working with some players who are older than him.

“He also does not have a name in local football and that could work against him as he has to convince everyone that he is indeed worth his salt,”
