John Maduka has allegedly been fired by Maritzburg United after a run of poor performances. The club is yet to provide any update on the matter.
The Team of Choice have slumped to the bottom of the DSTV Premiership table. This follows a string of poor results.
Their last two matches include a 5-0 defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns and a 2-0 loss to Golden Arrows, which led to their league position.
The PSL is currently on a break, during the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. Domestic football will resume on the 30th of December.
This could be an opportune moment for Farook Kadodia to potentially announce their new head coach.
John Maduka joined Maritzburg at the beginning of the season. He replaced Ernst Middendorp who was fired at the end of last season.
Maduka came from Royal AM, where he led them to fantastic 3rd place position. Thwihli Thwahla had the opportunity to play continental football for the first time in their history.
“Let me talk to you on Wednesday and I can tell you exactly if there’s anything we are doing or changes whatsoever and I will tell you on Wednesday,” Kadodia told iDiski Times yesterday.
“What we are going through right now, we will overcome it. But we’ll tell you exactly what is the future of the technical team, whether they are staying or not staying, whatever on Wednesday.”
The club will likely provide commentary on the matter tomorrow. Reports Suggest John Maduka Has Been Fired by Maritzburg United!
