Romain Folz Bemoans Missed Opportunities Against Marumo Gallants! Usuthu shared the spoils against Bahlabane Ba Ntwa last weekend.

AmaZulu drew 1-1 at home to Marumo Gallants in the DSTV Premiership over the past weekend. Head coach Romain Folz was disappointed they didn’t take all their chances.

After defeating Kaizer Chiefs 4-0 the weekend before, all eyes were on Usuthu to see what type of performance they would put up. It was the visitors who took the lead through Joseph Molangoane.

Junior Dion equalised just before halftime. The hosts created a few chances which they simply did not make the most of.

“The opponents scored first, I think we could have done better to prevent them from scoring,” Folz told the press.

“I still have to see exactly what happened there. The way we reacted after the goal was good, we were able to put pressure on them and we were able to fight back.

“I think the penalty came from our mistake, but we were lucky because they didn’t score. We wasted a lot of chances in front of goal, there are three or four that I have to look at again,” he added.

“I need to see exactly what happened. If we can correct those mistakes, we will be able to win a game like this one.” He lamented
