Romain Folz Happy with The Progress of Pule Ekstein! The dynamic winger caught the eye of his coach in their last match.
AmaZulu lost to Royal AM in their last DSTV Premiership match over the past weekend. Head coach Romain Folz pointed out the performance of Pule Ekstein as their silver lining.
Ekstein has not reached his full potential since joining Usuthu at the beginning of last season. In fact, he has found playing time rather hard to come by.
Romain Folz replaced Brandon Truter who was fired a few months ago and has given Ekstein a chance to prove his own worth.
“I think Ekstein did very well. He was a marvellous player on the field today,” Folz told the club media after their loss.
“He was very dynamic, and he was good on the ball.” He added.
A player who still needs to improve before getting any regular time is Thabo Qalinge, according to the coach. The tricky winger needs to improve and regain his fitness levels before he can be considered to play in the team.
“I think Qalinge lacked a little bit of pace. It has been a long time since him not playing at this level,” the Bordeaux-born tactician continued.
“So, for an offensive player like that to get the pace back, it will take a couple of games. But we are still in the process of doing something. I’m not happy with the results,
“But we will be back soon, and we will do our best in our next match against Kaizer Chiefs on Friday.” He spoke.
