SuperSport United visit Mamelodi Sundowns in the DSTV Premiership this evening. Ronwen Williams is adamant that they need victory in their pursuit for a top five finish.
Matsatsantsa have been on a fortnight break. This is because of the CAF duties that some league clubs have been fulfilling.
As a result, other league teams have had to pause their schedule to accommodate Mamelodi Sundowns, Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs.
“We know what is at stake, we know they would want to wrap up the league, we are fighting to get back in the top five, so it’s going to be a battle out there.” Williams told the media.
“It’s a Tshwane derby and one with historic moments and I’m sure both teams would want to battle for bragging rights. However, we are blessed with a full strength squad, all our soldiers are available and ready to do battle,” the club captain added.
The last time SuperSport took to the pitch was at home to Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila. The returning Bradley Grobler found the back of the net in the 1-0 win.
“We couldn’t continue with some momentum from our last victory but the two week break gave us enough time to fine tune our game plan, the team is looking good and ready for the fight.
The boys are looking fit and sharp, it’s always a bonus to have a full squad,” Williams concluded. Ronwen Williams Expects Tough Battle Against Mamelodi Sundowns!
