Kaizer Chiefs defeated Stellenbosch FC 3-1 in the DSTV Premiership on Sunday afternoon. Arthur Zwane praised the qualities of new striker Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana.

The Burundian striker became the first ever player to score a hattrick of penalties since the PSL was formed in the 90’s. These three goals moved him joint top of the scorers’ chart, next to Peter Shalulile.

Mangethe has hailed the contribution of Bimenyimana ever since arriving in the transfer window.

“He simplifies things, you know,” Zwane told SuperSport TV after their win.

“He keeps it simple as a striker, he just wants to play the ball outward, he wants to protect the ball, he wants to play those one-twos.

“He is a tall boy and he’s quick for his frame and he’s got that balance as well. We always wanted a player that can release players like Ashley du Preez.

“He’s not just the striker that is waiting for the crosses. You know, we are not a team that will rely on high balls.

“We are a team that will want to penetrate through the middle.

“I’m so happy for him and I’m very, very proud of him. He’s improving because he is coachable.

“He’s one player who always, you know, want to learn new things. He wants to know, ‘Coach, am I doing the right thing?’

“You can see, his game is improving and he’s one of our key players for this season.”
