Rulani Mokwena Wants To Maintain Winning Mentality In Africa! Mamelodi Sundowns host CR Belouizdad in their final CAF Champions League group stage game this afternoon.

The Brazilians have already secured top spot in the group. They are one of 2 teams to be on 13 points in the competition so far this season.

Mokwena is very wary of their opponents for today’s game.

“We have gone through a very good patch, we have played five games, they had a good result against TP Mazembe and they have lost one and drawn two.” he told the club website.

“CR Belouizdad is an interesting match, we are serious people and we try to set the tone as the technical team. They are a very good team, well-coached with very interesting schemes, especially with their fullbacks.

“Let’s see what happens on the day of the game.” The coach added.

Even though top spot is already sealed, Mokwena insists that his team has to play for the win. He claims that winning every game instils more and more confidence within the players.

“From a psychological perspective, we want to make sure we get to the knockout stages on a good winning momentum, so that we have the convictions that we can win in Africa and that is important. When you get to the knockout stages there are no second chances.” He concludes.
