Hugo Broos is a highly experienced coach who has been tasked to bring back the glory years to Bafana Bafana. The announcement was made by Broos himself, before the South African FA made the announcement.

Hugo Broos is famed for winning the 2017 AFCON with Cameroon. He has also won titles in his native Belgium.

Broos will be tasked with leading Bafana Bafana into the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers. The qualifiers begin in June.
