Shaun Bartlett Believes They Are Only Missing the Final Product! The Urban Warriors succumbed to another defeat in their last encounter.

Cape Town Spurs lost 2-1 at home to Golden Arrows in their previous DSTV Premiership match. Head coach Shaun Bartlett claims that they just need to work on their finishing at this point.

They newly promoted side have now lost all six of their matches in the top division. At this early stage of the campaign, they are already in a relegation battle. 

Spurs took the lead against Abafana Bes’thende thanks to a goal from Ashley Cupido. Substitute Lungelo Nguse scored a second half brace to seal a victory for the visitors.

“It’s very difficult to grasp [because] out of the five games, we probably didn’t deserve to get the result we ended up with,” Bartlett spoke after the defeat.

“And again, maybe we didn’t work hard enough in order to get the result. When we were 1-0 up, we could have buried the game with a little bit more forward-thinking, aggression and energy [but] we tended to slow down the pace of the game. 

“I think that’s sometimes to our detriment because we’ve got a lot of speed in our team, a lot of the players with the skilful abilities. The only thing that’s missing is the final product.” He concluded.

The Urban Warriors take on local rivals Cape Town City next Saturday. The Urban Warriors succumbed to another defeat in their last encounter.
