The young man was given the opportunity to own his own football team, Royal AM. They acquired the status of the now defunct Royal Kings.
Not only is he the chairman of the club, Mpisane also signed himself as the team’s newest star signing. He gave himself the #10 shirt.
Since taking over, the club have surprisingly done quite well for themselves. Royal AM are battling it out with Richards Bay FC for automatic promotion into the DSTV Premiership for next season.
Should they fail to finish top of the GladAfrica Championship, they will have the opportunity to qualify for the Premier League through the playoffs.
There are only a few games left in the NFD, so Royal Eagles will have to claim three points in each of their remaining games if they are to secure promotion.
