SuperSport United Reportedly Sends George Lebese Back To Sundowns! Lebse’s career in the last two seasons is not what anyone or himself saw coming. It has been challenge after challenge.

Things looked hopeful when he joined his childhood favorite club Mamelodi Sundowns from Kaizer Chiefs where he was not getting any game time. It proved to have worsened at Sundowns as he didn’t feature in many matches the whole season. Lebese was then loaned to SuperSport United but now he’s being sent back.

This comes after SuperSport United decided against signing the on-loan midfielder on a permanent deal. “We are not going to pursue George‚” the club’s director of football Stan Matthews confirmed to SowetanLIVE.

“I don’t think he really did enough during his loan spell with us in terms of assisting goals. His attitude was great while he was with us and I felt sorry for him because he came to us undercooked and it was hard really to judge him fully. The first few weeks of his arrival was about getting him right and on his pay package‚ and what the move entailed. Unfortunately we won’t be taking Lebese,” Matthews added.
