Swallows FC Fire Head Coach Dylan Kerr! The Dube Birds have eventually let go of the British born coach.
Swallows FC have decided to terminate the contract of Dylan Kerr. This followed a string of poor results, seeing them languish at the bottom half of the table.
The Dube Birds were thumped 4-0 at the hands of Golden Arrows in their last league match. They lost 2-1 to Stellenbosch FC before that.
After the defeat to Abafana Bes’thende on Saturday, Kerr himself admitted that he would understand if club CEO David Mogashoa would want to fire him. He was called into an urgent meeting on Monday.
Rumours circulated that Kerr would be placed on special leave, and not fired because of the money it would cost to terminate his contract.
“Swallows FC has parted ways with Head Coach, Dylan Kerr. We would like to thank Coach Kerr for the contribution he made to the club and wish him well with his future endeavours” the club announced last night.
Ernst Middendorp is already expected to take over the reigns at Dobsonville. The club and chairman are yet to address who is likely to replace Kerr.
