The round kicks off on Friday, 3 October, with Durban City taking on Polokwane City at Chatsworth Stadium at 19:00. Saturday features three matches: Orbit College FC host TS Galaxy at Olympia Park at 15:00, Orlando Pirates face Siwelele at Orlando Stadium at 15:00, and Golden Arrows welcome Sekhukhune United to King Goodwill Zwelithini Stadium at 18:00.
Sunday promises more excitement as Stellenbosch FC, the 2023/24 champions, meet Kaizer Chiefs at DHL Stadium at 15:00. The venue is also earmarked to host a rugby match between the Stormers and Ospreys on Friday, 3 October, raising questions about whether a change of venue may be needed.
Later on Sunday, Richards Bay FC play Chippa United at Umhlathuze Stadium at 15:00. AmaZulu FC host last season’s winners Magesi FC at Moses Mabhida Stadium at 18:00, and the round concludes with Mamelodi Sundowns facing Marumo Gallants at Lucas Moripe Stadium at 20:00.
Fans will be watching closely to see if the dual scheduling at DHL Stadium affects the Stellenbosch versus Chiefs fixture. The weekend is set to deliver competitive matches as teams compete to advance in the Carling Knockout.
