Kaizer Chiefs Not Pursuing Siphesihle Ndlovu Despite Transfer Speculation

Despite recent media reports linking Siphesihle Ndlovu with a move to Kaizer Chiefs, fresh information from inside Naturena suggests that the SuperSport United midfielder is not part of the club’s current transfer plans.
An insider close to the club’s recruitment process has dismissed the speculation, revealing that Chiefs have not shown interest or made any enquiries about the 28-year-old, who joined SuperSport United from Orlando Pirates in 2022.
“No, it’s not true. Ndlovu has not been on Chiefs’ wanted list,” the source told Soccer Laduma. “Yes, there are players from SuperSport United who the club is interested in and they have enquired about them, but it’s believed that Siphesihle Ndlovu is not one of those.”
While Amakhosi remain active in the transfer market, the focus appears to be on strengthening specific areas of the squad ahead of the 2025/26 season. Another confidant familiar with Chiefs’ positional priorities indicated that the club is mainly targeting wingers, strikers, and left-backs, rather than central midfielders.
“As much as the club is looking at signing players, they are focusing on wingers, strikers, and at least left-backs, not a central midfielder like Ndlovu. So apparently it’s not true that Chiefs are interested in him,” the second insider explained.
Ndlovu, who featured in most of SuperSport United’s matches during the past season, had emerged as a rumored target amid widespread transfer talk. However, with no official approach or concrete interest from Chiefs, the speculation now appears unfounded.
When contacted for official comment on the matter, Kaizer Chiefs did not respond at the time of publication.
The situation offers insight into the club’s strategic direction in the transfer window. After a disappointing ninth-place finish last season, Chiefs are keen to bolster their squad with attacking flair and defensive cover as they prepare for their upcoming Dutch pre-season tour. With more signings expected in the coming weeks, fans will be watching closely to see which names genuinely feature in Amakhosi’s rebuilding plans.
