The Buccaneers scored two late goals in additional time, to eventually win 3-1 to Abafana Bes’thende. Influential winger Monnapule Saleng gave them the lead, latching onto a Bandile Shandu cross.

The visitors equalized through Velemseni Ndwandwe in the second half. The game looked set to end at 1 a-piece before Pirates scored two stoppage time goals.

Striker Terrence Dzvukamanja headed in a cross from Monnapule Saleng and Vincent Pule sealed the victory a few moments later.

“As a team we take it as ‘if someone is playing, we have to support each other’. When things obviously aren’t going well, the coach tries new things.” The Zimbabwean told the club media.

“When I came on, I came on to support the team and to make the fans happy and then that’s when I scored. I’m very, very happy. I’m very, very happy to score in a crucial moment like this because we needed this win. SO, for myself before I came on, I told myself, ‘Terry we have to push, we have to find a goal so that the team can win or to progress’”. He stated.
