The legend of Maradona will always be remembered for his 1986 World Cup performance in Mexico. He scored a total of 5 goals and garnered 5 assists as well.
These 10 goal involvements amounted to 71% of Argentina’s goals in the tournament. He will always be remembered for his 2-goal performance against England in the quarterfinals.
The game was a complete vindication of who and what Diego Maradona was. He scored was is infamously known as the “Hand of God”.
He handled a ball past England’s Peter Shilton. His second goal was a sight of beauty.
