Yesterday (7 December) Zwane was announced as the October/November Player of the Month. His form has not gone unnoticed in the season.
He has helped Mamelodi Sundowns stay at the summit of the DSTV Premiership. Themba Zwane took the time to disclose that the arrivals of Peter Shalulile and Kermit Erasmus have been influential for Sundowns.
“It’s been good to have those two guys because they really work hard. I am happy that we understand each other from training,” Zwane says.
“We’ll try to create more goals, and score more. We’ll work as a team. But I am happy we understand each other.”
The three front men have scored 11 goals between each other and 5 assists as well. They frequently link up in the final third and are able to create chances for each other.
Zwane is happy with his current tally of 6 goals in 6 games and hopes to add onto his collection of goals.
“I am happy for myself. I’ve won the trophies that I wanted,” said Zwane
“My aim now is to improve on the Themba Zwane of last season. And also try to win trophies with my team.
Themba Zwane finished last season as the Players’ Player of the Season, Footballer of the Season and PSL Midfielder of the Season. He bagged R500 000 that night.
