This is because of the vibrant orange away kit. Orlando Pirates didn’t shy away from the orange as it was a big feature in the release.
Thomas Mlambo received a special kit delivery on Tuesday morning as the kit was released. Mlambo’s specially delivered away kit was accompanied by an orange Ford Mustang. The orange Ford Mustang is a direct replica of the Bucs’ away strip.
Ford is one of Orlando Pirates’ many sponsors. So, the American car company was more than happy to help Pirates deliver this jersey. The Buccaneers describe it as “an iconic jersey for the iconic @ThomasMlambo”
During this run, Orlando Pirates also delivered a tailor made shirt to musician DJ Shimza. The house aficionado was also visited by Lucky Lekgwathi in the orange Ford Mustang.
The Ford Mustang goes for over R1M in South Africa. Equipped with a 5L engine, it is an equally pricey vehicle to maintain.
The Buccaneers revealed their new kit earlier today. It is yet another hit collaboration between Adidas and Orlando Pirates.
