Tinkler: “I Came Here To Orlando Pirates To Win Trophies”
Orlando Pirates mentor, Eric Tinkler, has shown that he joined the Pirates with the intention of helping them win cups. Eric Tinkler troops won 1-0 against Egyptian club Al Ahly in the first-leg of their CAF Confederation Cup semi-final on Saturday.
Orlando Pirates will go to Egypt for the second-leg semi-final clash, with a win or a draw taking them through to the final of the CAF competition.
“I came here to Orlando Pirates to win trophies. This is the first one we stand a good chance of achieving now,” Tinkler said on the Soccer Laduma website.
“We are one step away from reaching the final so we are going to give it our best shot. I know I will always give it my best shot.
“It would be fantastic to win because it is a trophy the club has never won. We would like to put it in the trophy cabinet, but it will not be easy,” Tinkler concluded.
