Tiyani Mabunda Supports the Bushiri’s As They Receive Bail!
Tiyani Mabunda Supports the Bushiri’s As They Receive Bail! The midfielder is a devout supporter of The Enlightened Christian Gathering (ECG). Yesterday (4 November 2020) the Bushiri’s were granted bail.
Tiyani Mabunda has supported Shepherd Bushiri and his wife Mary Bushiri throughout their ongoing court case. This is despite the couple being accused of fraud amounting to up to R102M.
The Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder continued to show his love and support for them.
“’But after you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who calls you to share His eternal glory in union with Christ, will Himself perfect you and give you firmness, strength, and a sure foundation. To Him be the power for ever! Amen.’ 1 PETER 5:10 GNB” Mabunda wrote on his social media.
Magistrate Thandi Theledi granted Shepherd Bushiri and Mary Bushiri R200 000 bail each.
Ntlokwana Sindana, co-accused, was granted R100 000 bail while the wife of the first accused Zethu Mudolo was granted R20 000 bail.
In total, the bail amount of all the accused amounts to R520 000 bail.
“It has always been the prayer of the church and all those who stood with us to see them out and continue their God’s mission to preach the Gospel and reach out to people through their humanitarian work” said ECG spokesperson Ephraim Nyondo.
“The church, hence, wants to send its warmest regards to all its members, followers and, also, the general public for support rendered to our leaders during their time in custody.”
Tiyani Mabunda is only a fraction of the mass support the Bushiri’s have cultivated. Yesterday the Pretoria Magistrate court was littered with Bushiri supporters outside.
One follower was hopeful that the self-proclaimed prophet would be granted bail.
“I am a foreigner in this land, I have faced a lot of challenges, but since I discovered the prophet in Pretoria, I started attending the church. I started to experience change.
“Things just started to happen in terms of getting a job. This started changing drastically,” said 29-year-old Alex Chikakuda
“I think he is innocent. He is a man of God.”
