Tshegofatso Mabasa Would Like to Play for Steve Komphela Again! The striker has revealed his ambitions for new season.
Tshegofatso Mabasa is rumoured to join Moroka Swallows FC on loan this season. He has admitted that he would like to work with head coach Steve Komphela.
The duo previously worked together at Bloemfontein Celtic, where Mabasa proved to be a prolific striker. This earned him a transfer to Orlando Pirates.
In his first season he did well under Rulani Mokwena but has since lost his place in the team. The striker spent the previous season on loan at Sekhukhune United.
The Buccaneers stated that they are working on a deal to see him at Moroka Swallows FC.
“So far I can’t mention anything yet,” Mabasa told members of the media.
“I’m going back to Joburg and sit down with my agent.
“We will see what options we have on the table and take it from there.
“I love coach Steve.
“He’s one of the best coaches in the country. Yes, people criticise him for not winning trophies and what before [as head coach], but he is one of the best coaches in all honesty.
“How many players came from his coaching and went on to do well?
“It will definitely be a great opportunity to be working with him again.”
“Like I said, I can only go and decide once I’m back in Jozi with my agent. As of yet I don’t know anything.” He spoke.
