Watch! Ntshumayelo Announces Return After 4 Year Ban For Drug Use Got Reduced! Thandani Ntshumayelo was handed a four-year ban after testing positive for cocaine back in 2016.
The former Orlando Pirates midfielder successfully appealed his ban and was informed that he can immediately return to playing football if he can find himself a club.
Taking to social media, the 28 year old shared a video thanking his fans for support and vowing to never disappoint them again by using. He said his main focus now is to get his career back on track and take care of his family.
“I would like to thank my family and fans and South Africa for being behind me during the difficult two years of my life. I am going to do something that I love which is to play football. I am grateful for the second chance. I have learned from my mistake and I promise I won’t let you down again,” he said in the video.
“I would like to apologize to the chairman of the PSL Dr Irvin Khoza and to my former team Pirates, I would like to be a positive role model.”
