Siyabonga Sangweni was offered an extra year on his contract by Orlando Pirates, which means that he will be staying with the club for another two season. It was reported that Mamelodi Sundowns wanted to buy the 33 year old player but he agreed to sign a two-year deal with the Buccaneers, keeping him at the club until the end of the coming season.
Pirates does not want to loose one of their best players and they will do anything to keep their players happy.
“Sangweni was given a two-year contract when his last one expired and now the team has offered him another year, which if he signs, he will keep in the team until June 2017. I think the team just wants to tie him down for a long period hence the offer they have given him for another year” the source said.
