Siyanda Xulu Excited to Begin SuperSport United Journey! The defender recently joined Matsatsantsa.

SuperSport United announced the signing of Siyanda Xulu last week. he has expressed his delight at returning to domestic football.

Xulu was a free agent after his spell with Turan-T IK in Azerbaijan came to an end last season. He joined Matsatsantsa on a free transfer.

“I am feeling very grateful,” he told the club media.

“It’s another opportunity to play at home, which is something that I needed now. When you get to this age, the one thing you need the most is stability.

“SuperSport United gave me what I needed at the right time. I’m very excited for the new journey, It’s not only about me, but also all about the team.

“The reason why I joined this marvellous club is because I saw a team that was headed to the right direction. I am still new here; I need the other guys to help me get organized just so we can get to business.” He spoke.

Head coach Gavin Hunt was also thrilled to be able to conclude this shrewd piece of business.

“I think he is someone who can fit in well in the club,” Hunt elaborated.

“He has a lot of experience. He wants to do it and I have known him for a very long time.

“He can also help with the younger players that we’ve got. With Tyson [Thulani Hlatshwayo] and the other guys, we can try form a very good combination.

“He’s a big signing for us and I’m happy that he’s here. Football wise he’s a good player.

“He is tough, quick and a great defender. Good character as well, which is needed in that position.

“He’s number one in Bafana, which is a great signing for the club.” He spoke.
