Bongani Zungu Enjoys Spending Time with His Family! The Masandawana midfielder clearly knows what his priorities are!
Bongani Zungu can be seen enjoying the company of his family on numerous occasions. This is one of the main reasons he came back to the country.
Ben 10 re-joined Mamelodi Sundowns at the beginning of the current season. Although he didn’t dwell on the specifics, he said that he transferred back to the PSL for family reasons.
His girlfriend Cindy Mahlangu gave birth to their first-born child in the middle of last year. This came when his contract with French side Amiens had come to an end.
Zungu could’ve chosen to stay in Europe as he had offers from France, Belgium and the likes. However, he decided that returning to Mamelodi Sundowns and to be closer to his family would be the best option.
“Well, I made a decision to come back and play for one of the biggest teams in Africa,” he told the press last year.
“A team with a growing ambition to succeed and compete against the best in Africa and since I’ve left Mamelodi Sundowns and come back, there has been a tremendous improvement in all corners of the club and the players that we have now have a big, big quality.
“For me, it has been just about working hard and I’m playing for a team that is doing very well. It doesn’t matter who starts, it’s up to the coach who always starts.
“As I just mentioned for me, it’s just to continue working hard, be patient and wait for my chance, and when that chance does come to grab it with both hands.” He spoke.
