Contrasting Fortunes for Chiefs and Sundowns in Africa! Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns played out to two completely different results in the CAF Champions League.

Amakhosi were comfortably defeated 4-0 by Wydad Casablanca in in Burkina Faso. Goals from Ounnajem, El Kaabi, Msuva & Jabrane were enough to slay Kaizer Chiefs.

Chiefs were outclassed in every manner possible. They were dominated in every third of the match.

If anything, this was proof of the disparity in class between the two sides. Kaizer Chiefs were simply out of their league.

On the other hand, Mamelodi Sundowns continued to prove their pedigree on the big stage. They comfortably defeated CR Belouizdad 5-1 in Tanzania.

Sundowns quickly took the lead from the penalty spot through Themba Zwane. Further goals from Peter Shalulile, Lebogang Maboe, Kermit Erasmus and another one from Zwane rounded off a convincing victory for Sundowns.

They have won 2 from 2 in the CAF Champions League so far this season. They have fully taken control of the fate in the competition.

At this stage, The Brazilians are highly experienced in the competition. Their yearly participation makes them one of the favourites to win the competition entirely.
