Marlon Heugh Still Dreams of Playing For Bafana Bafana! The TS Galaxy goalkeeper is an experienced player at this stage of his career.
He is 30 years old now, but still dreams of playing for the national team. Goalkeepers, unlike on field players, have a much longer careers.
At 30, Heugh is likely to play for many more years. With that in mind, he still maintains his dream to represent Bafana Bafana.
He is still uncapped at international level.
“My personal goals are as follows, to be in the top platform with the keepers that I’m competing with in the DSTV Premiership but it is a team effort I guess.” Heugh tells the TS Galaxy club website.
“As a goalkeeper, you are as only good as your defence. I always believe that it is never too late to get that call-up.
“That’s what I’m pushing for. It is all about hard work and give all to the team. In that way, my achievements will start coming and I can help the team to finish in a better position,” he adds.
Marlon Heugh has been immense for TS Galaxy so far this season. He kept 3 clean sheets in matches against Maritzburg United, Black Leopards and Bloemfontein Celtic.
The Rockets have done well to kill any relegation speculation. They are now aiming to finish in the top 8.
“Top eight is possible. We are in reach of it. It is one game at a time.
“If we can push and treat each game like a cup final and then we will achieve our goal. We have to stick together in good and bad times. We can get the top eight position,” the goalkeeper went on.
