Mamelodi Sundowns were crowned DSTV Premiership champions last night. Head coach Rulani Mokwena has dedicated the triumph to the players at the club.
This is a record extending sixth successive title win for Masandawana. Mokwena has insisted that the group of players at their disposal makes everything much easier.
As the richest club in South Africa, The Brazilians have the opportunity to work with some of the best players around. This automatically gives them an edge over every other team in the league.
“That’s the most difficult part, but they make it easy. They make it easy because they are good football players and then they make it easier because they are good human beings.” Mokwena told SuperSport TV last night.
“So, we are just privileged as a technical team to work with this group of players. I’m privileged to be in a position to be their coach.
“As demanding as the job is, its days like this that make it extremely rewarding. So proud to be league champions, so proud.
“I’m so proud of these players, so proud of this football club, so proud of these supporters, so proud for the management, the Motsepe family, the chairman, the boar, the president, everybody associated with this club, magnificent. Super work.” He added.
