Former Orlando Pirates and Ajax Cape Town Striker Tendai Ndoro Passes Away

Former Zimbabwe international striker Tendai Ndoro has passed away. He was found dead on Monday in his apartment in South Africa. The news has sent shockwaves across the football community in Zimbabwe and South Africa.
Ndoro, popularly known as “Fire,” built a strong reputation in the South African Premier Soccer League. He first made his mark with Mpumalanga Black Aces before earning a move to Orlando Pirates. At Pirates, he became a household name with his goal-scoring exploits. He later turned out for Ajax Cape Town and Highlands Park, where his attacking instincts and eye for goal kept him in the spotlight.
On the international stage, Ndoro earned 14 caps for Zimbabwe. He represented the Warriors at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon, a major milestone in his career. His contributions helped put Zimbabwe on the continental stage during a highly competitive tournament.
Ndoro’s career also took him abroad. He played in Saudi Arabia for Al-Faisaly and in Oman for Al Ouruba SC. His overseas stints underlined his talent and ability to compete beyond the African continent.
His passing at a relatively young age has left fans, former teammates, and the broader football fraternity mourning a player who gave much to the game.
We extend our condolences to the family, friends, and supporters of Tendai Ndoro during this difficult time. His legacy as one of Zimbabwe’s notable football exports will be remembered.
