Gavin Hunt Unveiled As Brand New Chippa United Head Coach! The experienced PSL coach takes over from Lehlohonolo Seema at The Chilli Boys.

Gavin Hunt finds himself back in the DSTV Premiership after his last stint at Kaizer Chiefs. Hunt will lead Chippa United into the current campaign.

Hunt is believed to have signed a two year contract with Chippa United. He becomes the club’s 30^th head coach in 9 years.

It is an unexpected marriage, considering the profile of the two parties. Gavin Hunt is a 4-time PSL league winner, while minnows Chippa United only survived through the highly eventful promotion playoffs.

Club owner Chippa Mpengesi says that the appointment of Hunt is the sign of a new dawn at the club. He has claimed that the club is now aiming for a 6^th place finish.

Chippa have been highly criticised for how poorly they have been run over the years. The club managed to find themselves in the Nedbank Cup last season.

They lost 1-0 to Marumo Gallants through a deflected Ndabayithethwa strike. Besides this cup run, they were particularly poor in the DSTV Premiership last season.

Gavin Hunt was in charge of Kaizer Chiefs for 8 months. In these 8 months, he left Chiefs dangling in 11^th place, but had led them to the semi-finals of the CAF Champions League.
