Kaizer Chiefs would like to announce the departures of three midfielders, Kabelo Mahlasela, Joseph Molangoane and George Maluleka.

Mahlasela joined Kaizer Chiefs in January 2018. The attacking midfielder spent the last six months of his contract on loan at Limpopo side, Polokwane City. The 27-year-old joined Amakhosi from Bloemfontein Celtic.

Molangoane joined Kaizer Chiefs in 2016. The 32-year-old versatile midfielder affectionately known as ‘Tight’ had his contract extended in 2019 until it expired on 30 June 2020.

Maluleka joined Chiefs in January 2014 and was part of the league and cup double winning team in 2015. The 31-year-old central midfielder arrived in Naturena joining from SuperSport United. Maluleka signed a precontract with Mamelodi Sundowns earlier during the season.

Bidding the trio farewell, Football Manager Bobby Motaung says: “We thank the players for their service. This is how football changes, the dynamics change, and we have to accept that change is part of the game. I can only wish the players all of the best in their future endeavours.”
