Iconic Premier League Trophy Touches Down In South Africa As Part of Manchester City Global Tour
Football fans have an opportunity to set eyes on an iconic piece of silverware this week as PUMA South Africa helps to host the South Africa stop on Manchester City’s global Trophy Tour.
Manchester City are celebrating the club’s fourth title in five years by taking the Premier League trophy on the road to meet fans around the world. The tour, presented by Official Club Partner OKX has so far included stops in France, the United States, Spain, Mexico and Norway, with stops in UAE, Korea and Japan to come.
Cape Town is hosting the South African leg of the tour and the public can attend a trophy viewing session at Totalsports Canal Walk between 4pm and 6pm on Saturday 15 October. Joleon Lescott, who won two Premier League titles with Manchester City, is scheduled to make an appearance at this free to attend event.
“It is such an honour to host a leg of the Manchester City’s global Trophy Tour and provide local fans with an opportunity to set eyes on this glittering trophy,” said Brett Bellinger, PUMA SA Marketing Director. “Hopefully it inspires young South African footballers to follow Joleon’s lead and realise their Premier League dreams.”
