Inter carried a very healthy 2-0 lead headed into this encounter. Captain Lautaro Martinez scored the only goal of the game as they cemented their spot in the final.
The last time they went this far, they won the tournament in 2010, defeating Bayern Munich under Jose Mourinho.
“I can’t remember how the goal went right now, I think it was an assist from Romelu Lukaku where I got the ball going forward,” Lautaro Martinez told UEFA.

“It’s a great source of pride and satisfaction for me. You start doing this work in your childhood, hopefully, we can finish it off.” He concluded.
“In the next few days, we will realise what we have achieved,” Inter coach Simone Inzaghi spoke.
“For us it was a dream, but we have always believed in it. It was an extraordinary path.
“Winning a derby in the semi-final like this brings great satisfaction.” He added.
