Orlando Pirates drew 1-1 at home to Royal AM in the DSTV Premiership yesterday. Head coach Jose Riveiro was unhappy with the result.

The Buccaneers took the lead in the second half when teenage debutant Relebohile Ratomo saw his shot deflect in off Elias Pelembe. The visitors equalized in stoppage time as Menzi Masuku headed in past Sipho Chaine.

“Not happy with the result. I think we produced much more today to actually have a comfortable result at halftime.” Riveiro told SuperSport TV after the encounter.

“I think we were a bit unlucky and when the result is tight these things can happen at the end of the game, it’s not the first time. Unfortunately for us that we dropped points in the last actions of the game.

“But still, it’s a difficult week for us. I try to take the positive things, which is that we get one more point.

“It’s one more point advantage, that we have to protect, defend and capitalise at the end of the season.

I think, I don’t know, it was a bit strange [in] the first half how busy we managed to be in the last third. To have entrances into the box, to create clear-cut chances, but again it’s a scoring game.

“It doesn’t matter how many chances [you create] if you don’t materialize enough and that’s the case today. I don’t know, I think the opposition didn’t even have a shot on target in the whole game, but they get a point.

“This is football, we move.” He added.
