Kabelo Dlamini Welcomes Sipho Mbule to Orlando Pirates

Orlando Pirates midfielder Kabelo Dlamini has expressed optimism about the arrival of Sipho Mbule as the Soweto giants chase the league title. Mbule made his Pirates debut in their 2-0 MTN8 quarterfinal win over Polokwane City last Saturday.
Mbule joined Pirates during the off-season after leaving Mamelodi Sundowns, where he was loaned to Sekhukhune United last season. Off-field issues cut his previous campaign short, but the 27-year-old now has a fresh opportunity at Bucs.
Dlamini praised Mbule’s talent and fit within the team. “Everyone knows Sipho. He is a top player. We are grateful to share the same dressing room with him. He is going to help the team reach their goal,” Dlamini said during a media day ahead of the league opener against Sekhukhune.
He added, “He plays the same style as us. He has been playing at the highest level for some time and knows how Pirates play. During pre-season, he performed well, and I’m glad he brought his A-game on Saturday. That’s what Pirates need.”
Both Pirates and Sekhukhune enter the league opener confident after MTN8 wins. Pirates have strengthened their squad with several key signings this season.
Dlamini emphasized the need for a strong start, especially against tough competitors like Mamelodi Sundowns. “We can’t afford to lose two games in a row. We want to win our games and bring the trophy home,” he said.
Kick-off is at 17:30 at Orlando Stadium.
