Kaizer Chiefs will take on Al Ahly in the CAF Champions League final in approximately 48 hours. They have safely touched down in Morocco after boarding a Charter Flight in South Africa yesterday.
Now that the first team has arrived in Casablanca, they will have time to acclimatise to the Northern conditions. Al Ahly arrived in Morocco earlier in the week.
It was a much swifter journey for them, as they are based in Egypt. Neighbouring Morocco.
“We are looking forward to the journey,” Jessica Motaung told the club media.
“This is a historic moment for the Club. It has been a long journey for the team and the time has arrived to complete what we have started on 29th November in Cameroon.”
“It is a special moment for our supporters and partners,” said Motaung,
“We would not have reached this stage without their support. We are humbled to represent South Africa at this pinnacle of continental football.
“We will carry the flag and carry the hopes of the Nation with pride.” She concluded.
Kaizer Chiefs are expected to arrive back in the country on Monday, 19 July 2021. It is yet to be seen whether they will be returning to South Africa as African champions or as the first losers.
