Patrick Maswanganyi made his debut for SuperSport United last week Tuesday. He claims to have had no fear in the days leading up to the match.

In Maswanganyi, they may have found another superstar. The striker had a 3-year spell in Portugal, playing for Oliveirense and Academica U23.

He has now returned to the country.

“I was ready to play so when I had my name I couldn’t wait to be on the field and play, I was very excited about playing my first match, so I had no fear.” He told the club media.

In his first match, he was able to provide an assist for striker Thamsanqa Gabuza to open the scoring, in their 3-1 eventual win.

“It happened so quickly, and I knew he was going to make the run in the back post, so I had to put the ball in the right space for him to finish.

“It was really a great game I enjoyed every moment of it, and I was so happy to play my first match for SuperSport United at home.  It really felt very special and getting a win was a bonus.” He added.

He aims on working hard to improve on the good start he has made.

“It is very important to work hard and be patient for your turn and always support those who are playing, and I was given my chance and was very excited that I contributed to the team’s win.” He concluded.

The striker will be hoping to start against Stellenbosch FC in their next encounter. Patrick Maswanganyi Had No Fear Before Making SuperSport United Debut!
