Mamelodi Sundowns Wants to Improve on Last Season’s Treble According to Rulani Mokwena! The Brazilians are the huge favourites to win all trophies on offer this campaign.
Mamelodi Sundowns enter the 2022/2023 season with the intention of claiming everything that’s at stake. Co-coach Rulani Mokwena stated that they want to improve on last season’s endeavours.
Masandawana won the treble of the MTN 8, Nedbank Cup and the DSTV Premiership last season. However, the CAF Champions League continued to elude them.
This season, the club is on a hunt to win every domestic and continental trophy that’s on offer.
“What would make us happier is to play this way for 90 minutes and more,” Mokwena spoke after their victory over Stellenbosch FC.
“It must be a lot more consistent, a lot more work. We want to be a better team than last season and for sure that’s the desire and that’s the goal.
“We want to win every single match and that would make us happier because that would make the supporters happy, and we live for that space. We want to make our people happy and if our people are happy – not just with the performances but with the results then we are happy and we go to bed with smiles in our faces,” he claimed.
