Manchester United defeated FC Barcelona 2-1 in the UEFA Europa League last night. They have progressed into the last 16 of the cup.

Based on the first leg performance, the home side were the heavy favourites to win the match. It was the away side who took the lead though, thanks to a penalty from Robert Lewandowski.
Brazil international midfielder Fred equalised for United in the second stanza. Fellow Brazilian Antony struck later in the half to secure victory for the hosts.
“It’s a brilliant win, when you can beat Barcelona who are eight points ahead in the Liga. A magnificent performance – we’ll take it with us for the season and it will give us belief that we can win the big games.” Manager Erik Ten Haag told UEFA.
Sergio Busquets lamented the chances they missed when they had a 1-0 lead.
“We played well in the first half. We had a couple of chances to go 2-0 up.
“But in the second half, United were much better and the match changed. Even when the score line was against us, we had opportunities to equalise, and we kept on competing.
“Little details mean that we are out.”
