Memolodi Sundowns flying high African Champs!
Mamelodi Sundowns proved this past weekend that they are African champs after they beat TP Mazembe 1-0 to win the CAF Super Cup. Mamelodi Sundowns came out guns blazing with the dominant striking force of Anthony Laffor, Khama Billiat and Percy Tau. The CAF Champions did not have a walk in the park as TP Mazembe were strong too but could not beat the 12 player and that is the Sundowns fans.
In the dying minutes of the game, Ricardo Nascimento scored a penalty that sealed the game for the Brazilians. It is inspiring to see South African football teams doing great as Sundowns. Perhaps credit should be given to the diverse sqaud of Sundowns that not only has South African players players from other African regions such as East Africa, Uganda where Dennis Onyango is from.
The master mind behind the Brazilians success is none other than the controversial stirring up coach Pitso Mosimane. Know for over self confidence and a coach without fear, Mosimane now sets his eyes to sweep what is left to play for this season. That will be the Nedbank cup and defend the PSL title. Speaking to media Mosimane said, ” It is time we win our PSL games and get to the top. Our mission is to focus on each game than to undermine other fixtures”. Sundowns take on Platinum Stars tonight. Platinum Stars will be out to burst the Sundowns bubble and win the game.
