Motsepe Distances Sundowns From Pitso’s Return
Mamelodi Sundowns chairman Tlhopie Motsepe has ruled out the possibility of the return of Pitso Mosimane to his former team. Motsepe went on to praise the famous coaching trio they have at the club.
In his stint with the Brazilians, Mosimane turned the club’s fortunes around when they had suffered a long time in a rough patch where no trophies were coming in despite having quality players and big coaches.
Lifting CAF Champions was rarely dreamt of, let alone playing in the same tournament as Real Madrid when they took part in the 2016 FIFA Club World Cup in Japan. Before he left for Al Ahly he led the club to a domestic trio in the 2019/20 season.

Having parted ways with Al Ahly, his next destination is being predicted by many but it’s unclear if he would consider returning home or continue flying the South African flag abroad. With questions asked if Sundowns would look to bring him back, Motsepe says NO!
“We have three very successful coaches who have done so well for our football club.” Thlopie Motsepe told members of the media.
“All we can do is wish coach Pitso well because he is a successful South African coach.
“Wherever he goes he will continue to succeed but our coaches have done so well.
“It wouldn’t be right to think about Pitso Mosimane or any other suitor for our football club because we have found the perfect coaches.”
SOME LOCAL TEAMS HAVE ENQUIRED ABOUT PITSO
Last week on Tuesday, Mosimane’s agent Moira Mosimane revealed to TimesLive that she had been receiving calls both locally and internationally with teams enquiring about the services of Mosimane.
“Yesterday I got a lot of calls from different international and domestic clubs that are interested in coach Pitso Mosimane.” his agent told TimesLive.
“But it’s important to clarify on the record that we have not signed anything with anyone.
“Interest is both international and domestic with three local SA teams that want the services of the coach.
“We have not gone into too much detail with anyone in terms of negotiations. Some of the teams that called wanted to confirm if Pitso Mosimane has signed with anyone already.

“This is because there have been reports in the media saying that he has been linked or signed. That is not correct at all.”
Moreover, Mosimane has also been linked with a move to some countries in the Middle East including Qatar, United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia
